Dbrand Grip Case
Buying a case for your iPhone is always a good idea, as it protects your phone from bumps and drops, and can even be used to store extra cards or accessories. But the selection of cases on the market can be confusing, especially when you’re looking for one that will fit your specific model.
dbrand is best known for making skins for smartphones, but the brand also makes really great cases. Their Grip Case for the iPhone 14 Pro Max is a great choice, combining military-grade drop protection with a minimalist design that doesn’t add much bulk to your phone.
It’s also incredibly durable, offering up to 10 feet of drop protection. But how much impact protection you need depends on how you use your iPhone. If you’re a casual user who rarely leaves your home, then drop protection probably isn’t necessary. But if you’re a bit more adventurous and enjoy taking your iPhone out in public, then shock absorption is essential.
While I don’t recommend this case for everyday use, I do think it offers a unique style that’s worth considering. The grippy texture is almost like running your hand against a bit of extra-fine grain sandpaper, which gives you a great grip and makes it nearly impossible to drop your phone.
There’s also a small bar along the side that provides a place to rest your fingers without sliding down and off of the case. This is a really nice feature, as I often find myself needing to swipe down and back to get to the edge of my screen.
Another thing that I love about this case is how easy it is to put and take out of my pockets. Most silicon cases can be difficult to slot into and remove from your pants’ pockets because of the friction from the rubbery surface. This case solves that problem, and it’s also waterproof so your phone will be protected from water in case you accidentally drop it into a pool.
It’s a little bit expensive for a case, but the grippy texture and drop protection are well worth it. It’s also very well made, and is compatible with a wide range of different models.
