Cool Off With Commercial Water Play Equipment
Offering fun ways to cool off can help attract families to your business and keep them returning. Commercial water play equipment provides an opportunity for children to explore a different kind of sensory activity that is fun and safe.
Watching toys float and sink can teach concepts like gravity and buoyancy while filling containers teaches measuring skills. These simple experiences help develop an early interest in science and math.
Water Slides
Inflatable water slides are a great addition to any home, they can be inflated in less than a minute and offer kids a way to beat the summer heat. Kids of all ages enjoy using inflatable water slides, which also make a fun party activity for birthdays or holiday celebrations.
Water slides are the ultimate in high-octane thrills. From small kids’ waterslides to massive, high-speed serpentine rides, they captivate children of all ages and exert an almost magnetic pull for riders.
These exciting rides utilize a combination of forces including gravity, friction and inertia to create the thrilling sensation that riders feel. Inertia plays an important role, as it is humans’ natural tendency to resist changes in movement, especially when moving at high speeds. In addition to bringing a high-speed ride experience, water slides often feature a number of curves and turns that help riders to overcome this resistance and maintain an uninterrupted path down the slide.
Dump Buckets
Kids of all ages and abilities love to watch buckets tip and splash. They love the anticipation of watching the water fill up and then running away just in time — or getting completely drenched! Adding dumping buckets and other interactive water play equipment to your splash pad can help create a more complete experience.
This high dump bucket increases a loader’s dumping commercial water play equipment height, helping reduce excess loader travel and lost time. It also allows lateral unloading, making it ideal for highway construction, trenches and roadways where backfill or dumping aggregate is needed.
We manufacture our dumping buckets with either center-mounted or side-mounted hydraulic cylinders, which affect the way that they tilt and dump materials. Adding a center-mounted cylinder makes for a more centralized tipping action, while a side-mounted cylinder causes the bucket to rotate and dump from the sides.
We can also add a hydraulic lock to the non-pivot end of your high dump bucket, which helps prevent accidental side pivoting during normal operation. This feature is especially helpful when handling heavy-duty, dense or harsh materials that would stick to a standard bucket’s interior.
Ground Sprays
Often found in the center of splash pads, ground sprays offer the opportunity for interactive water play without requiring any standing water. With a variety of shapes and sizes, ground sprays add dimension to the play area, and are also a great way to connect age-appropriate zones.
Flowing streams of water are a sight to behold, and can remind even the oldest players of running through sprinklers as a kid. The ground nozzles are either flush mounted or surface mount, depending on the facility’s requirements. Surface mounted structures are less expensive and can be easily removed for maintenance.
Vortex’s Ground Spray System, Spraylink(tm), offers greater flexibility in design, with interchangeable nozzles to modify the water effect and easier removal for maintenance. In addition, the product has a lifecycle carbon footprint 70% lower than its predecessor, all while offering a more playful experience. Draw Young Families – Create a fun and exciting place to spend time with the whole family by adding a water park or sprayground to your public space. Splash parks become a destination where families come together and bring friends, increasing revenue for businesses located nearby.
Themed Components
Themed components are a powerful design strategy for managing component states and variations efficiently. They work by taking an instance of a theme master, applying overrides to it, then turning the altered version into its own commercial water play equipment themed component. This leaves the original theme master intact, nested inside each themed component, so editing one of them updates all of them automatically.
Whether you’re designing an unforgettable water park ride, captivating splash pad for your community pool or larger-than-life sculpted features for a resort, Aquatix has the flexibility and know-how to create your vision. Themed components like spray canons, dumping buckets, ground sprays and above ground spray features are available in stainless steel or fiberglass and come in an array of colorful designs that add fun to any aquatic play experience.
Check out the freebie below to see theme masters and themed components in action! It’s based on the input component system from UI Prep’s Design System and uses module augmentation to demonstrate the theme master-theme component structure. Enjoy!
Splash Pads
Splash pads are zero-depth aquatic playgrounds that offer misting, jetting and flowing water fun for kids of all ages and abilities. They provide interactive and social experiences to engage visitors and boost your business’s reputation with families.
They feature ground nozzles that spray jets of water above the surface and can be configured in many different ways. Some use a variety of themes and water choreography to entertain children with visual and sensory appeal. They can also include interactive water features such as dumping buckets, rainbow arcs and more.
Some splash pad systems have low-flow nozzles that consume less water than traditional sprinklers and feature a timing system to limit the amount of time the nozzles are running, further reducing water consumption. Others are recirculating, meaning the sprayed water passes through pipes where it is filtered and disinfected using germ-killing chemicals before being sprayed again.
These types of systems require significantly less maintenance than commercial swimming or wading pools, making them a great option for communities and businesses with limited staffing or resources. They can be used in many settings, including community parks, day care centers, homeowner association recreational areas and hotels & resorts.
