8 Inch Hub Motor

A hub motor is a motor stationed in one of the wheels. They are much less expensive than mid drive motors and offer redundancy should your chain break.

They are brushless and use electronic commutation to prevent mechanical losses and friction. This saves energy and reduces maintenance costs over time.

Product Description

The 8 inch hub motor is a non-gearless direct drive electric motor with a built-in wheel for use in DIY scooter builds, upgrades or other applications like motorized carts or mountain bikes. It is an excellent choice for those who want a powerful and efficient motor with a high power to weight ratio. This motor is designed for 24V 350W and has connection wires for a hall sensor and temperature controller.

This hub motor uses advanced brushless DC motor technology to achieve high efficiency, low noise and long lifespan. It is widely used in electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, and other transportation vehicles. This motor has good dynamic response characteristics and is capable of adapting to different vehicle installation requirements.

The dual shaft design of this motor makes it more customizable for different applications. It can be used in electric scooters, electric bicycles, or even some electric cars. This motor is also a great option for those who are looking for a more environmentally-friendly way to get around. It is easy to maintain and offers a smoother ride. This motor is shipped without overheating protection installed and its windings are not varnished, but we can install a thermal relay and varnish the windings for an additional charge. This motor is also compatible with a wide range of controllers and CANbus systems.

Product Specifications

Designed with brushless technology, this motor provides a high amount of power for 8 inch hub motor long distances. This powerful upgrade for your Fiido Q1 & Q1S will provide you with an amazing experience while riding your bike. This black motor operates at a voltage range of 48V-72V, and can be used with any bike with a hub mount system.

The hub motor directly applies torque to the wheel, which works independently of your bicycle’s gears. This means that you can travel further with less effort, and even uphill! This is the most common type of E-bike motor, and it can also be found on some electric skateboards.

This motor features a built-in 8″ rubber hub, which is compatible with any standard rim and tire. It also includes a built-in thermistor, which allows you to monitor the temperature of the motor. This helps prevent overheating and ensures a longer life for your motor.

The motor comes with a display throttle and FWD/REV switch, which makes it easy to connect to your controller. The programmable BLDC controller allows you to adjust the driving characteristics of the motor, and you can choose the speed and torque settings accordingly. This enables you to customize your ride for the most comfortable experience possible. This is the perfect motor for those looking to improve their bike or scooter.

FAQ

There is a lot of misinformation in the ebike space about hub motors being inferior to mid-drive systems. However, if you are looking for a simple way to convert your bike to electric drive, a hub motor is the way to go. Hub motors don’t put extra stress on your existing drivetrain and operate independently of the pedal transmission. This means that if your chain breaks, derailleur snags or you get stuck in mud or snow a hub motor can keep you rolling.

It can be intimidating to lace up a wheel with a hub motor but the trick is to focus on one group of 4 spokes at a time. Once you have the first set of four laced correctly, just repeat that same pattern for each of the 9 groups of 4 spokes that make up the whole wheel. It will help to have a picture of a single cross lace pattern handy so you can see how the wheel was laced originally.

Using a direct drive hub motor can be problematic with certain rims. If the rim is too narrow or not thick enough it can cause the motor to produce significant drag. It is recommended that you only use a rim that is at least 25cm (10″) wide and made of high quality steel.
